WEA Jazz Courses: We need YOU!

The WEA Jazz courses with Steve Glendinning started successfully last week, but we need more people to attend for the courses to continue.
I’m too ladylike to say we need more bums on seats, but that’s the size of it!
Improvisation from 1pm to 3pm and Jazz Appreciation from 3pm to 5pm, both at the Unitarian Church in Ellison Place in Newcastle city centre.
I was at the Jazz Appreciation and it was a real treat, so don’t miss out!  We listened to some early jazz from Jelly Roll Morton and discussed what was going on in the music.  Next week we are going to compare this with swing, post 1930.  Loads of useful information, and Steve gave musical examples on his guitar.  I now know the exact reason why a ‘standard’ is called a ‘standard.’
Don’t miss out, be there, or the courses won’t continue.  You don’t need to pre-enrol, just turn up on Thursday (6th Nov).  See YOU
Ann Alex

Unless you are retired or on the dole, you can't go to a 1-3pm session.

I agree with the first comment. I would be interested but have a full time job.
